On September 29, the groundbreaking ceremony for Jiangsu Xiamei Fiber Co., Ltd.’s annual 420,000-ton high-performance composite new materials project was grandly held in Jinhu County, Huai’an City, Jiangsu Province. Covering an area of 210,000 square meters, the project is planned with an annual production capacity of 420,000 tons, marking Xiamei Fiber’s first manufacturing base in the Yangtze River Delta.

Originating from Quanzhou, Fujian, Xiamei Fiber has been deeply engaged in the staple fiber industry for over two decades. It has built three eco-friendly fiber production bases in Quanzhou (Fujian), Guangzhou and Yunfu (Guangdong), equipped with multiple state-of-the-art polyester staple fiber (PSF) and ES composite staple fiber production lines, boasting a total annual capacity of approximately 180,000 tons. Its product portfolio includes 2D and 3D hollow fibers, ES composite fibers and a full range of differentiated specialty fibers, widely used in apparel, nonwoven, yarns, home textiles, furniture, toys, automotive, industrial and hygiene materials sectors.

Upholding the philosophy of green circular economy, Xiamei Fiber continuously advances the synchronous upgrading of production capacity and product lines, and drives high-quality industrial development through technological innovation.

The construction of the Jinhu base in Jiangsu represents a key strategic move for Xiamei Fiber to expand into the Yangtze River Delta, following its existing bases in Fujian and Guangdong. Upon completion and commissioning, the base will manufacture high-performance composite fibers, mainly serving textile & apparel, nonwoven, home textiles and technical textiles.

Rooted in Jinhu and covering East China, this layout is critical for us to strengthen competitiveness in the Yangtze River Delta and East China market. Leveraging Jinhu’s geographical and industrial advantages, we will build an efficiently coordinated supply chain system for East China and the Yangtze River Delta. This enables us to get closer to regional markets, respond quickly to customer demands, and deliver more stable, premium localized services.

The Jinhu base will also integrate R&D capabilities. It will take charge of technological iteration, product innovation and process upgrading for fiber new materials, realizing dual-wheel driving of "R&D + manufacturing". It will provide solid support for the company’s continuous breakthroughs in high-performance, differentiated and functional fibers.
